Why I build client sites on Next.js and Vercel
The stack behind every site I ship — and why it matters for speed, SEO, and your monthly bill.
Every business owner I talk to wants the same three things from a website: it should load fast, show up on Google, and not break. The stack I choose is how I deliver on all three without charging enterprise prices.
The short version
- Next.js renders pages on the server, so search engines and visitors get real HTML instantly.
- Vercel puts that HTML on a global edge network — your site is served from a city near the visitor.
- Postgres (Neon) and Blob storage handle data and files without me babysitting servers.
Speed is a feature
Google measures how fast your site feels with Core Web Vitals. Slow sites rank lower and convert worse. Static shells, streaming, and image optimization are built in, so a site I ship typically scores 95+ on Lighthouse before any tuning.
SEO without plugins
No “SEO plugin” required. Titles, descriptions, Open Graph images, sitemaps, robots.txt, and structured data are all code — versioned, reviewed, and tested like everything else.
What it costs you
Most small-business sites fit comfortably on modest hosting. With my managed hosting plans you get the infrastructure plus a human who answers when something needs changing.
